From its humble beginnings baking for family members using the traditional recipe, the demand from the Lebanese community soon saw commercial production commence in 1985.
This unique bread was originally made in the mountains of Lebanon.
Mountain Bread™ strictly adheres to the original recipe ensuring that customers continue to enjoy our product. It has soon become known throughout Australia as a unique, thin, soft textured flatbread using a traditional recipe that has been handed down through generations.
In order to meet further demand, improve the production process and maintain their stringent quality controls, the Mountain Bread™ company relocated to a purpose-built facility with new state of the art equipment.
Mountain Bread™ broke into international markets in 1999, beginning in the US. It now successfully exports to the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Fiji, Dubai and throughout Asia, just to name a few!
