We Are Lions Overview
We Are Lions (WAL) provides opportunities for people with disabilities through art and entrepreneurship. We operate a marketplace that creates products designed and developed by individuals with disabilities in order to build inclusive economies. Our entrepreneurs receve 50% of profits from sales on our online platform and through additional distribution channels. Entrepreneurs also have access to grants, mentorship, and business skills training to support their small business development.
We Are Lions believes that many modern relationships between donors and leave out an integral party: the public. However, consumers can be the driving force behind social change, reversing stigmas, initiating positive conversation. By letting socially-responsible commerce thrive, WAL helps nonprofits and artists make a more substantial impact while empowering consumers to become more active agents. In this way, We Are Lions is changing what it means to create social change.
