I was hired as a community administrator (glorified customer support rep with an attitude), was laid off, agreed to turn a similar but tiny site into a viable business, did so well I bought my former employer a year later, sold both companies to some Brits 3 years ago, and recently quit that company and rebought Silicon Investor.
