Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service serves as the EMS coordinating entity for the evacuation of vulnerable populations for the Georgia Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency; as the Communication Center for the Infectious Disease Transport Network (IDTN) for the Georgia Office of EMS & Trauma; and as the EMS Coordinating provider for the National Disaster Management System-Team Atlanta through the U.S. Department of Public Health and Emergency Preparedness.
