AtlantaCutlery Overview
Atlanta Cutlery Corp. started in 1971 as a mail order catalog company selling hunting and other hard to find knives and knife making supplies from all over the world.
Our well educated and highly trained staff directs the company. On staff full time are Bruce Brookhart, Head of Research and Design, General Manager Robin Chaudhuri, formerly with Michigan State University's Historical Museum in Arms & Armour and Dave DiPietro, formerly with Paramount Studios. Part-time consultants include: Simon Atherton, Prop Master (Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, Mask of Zorro, Kingdom of Heaven & Gladiator), Joss Skottowe, prop armorer (Die Another Day, Sahara, Quantum of Solace) and Augusto Grassi, prop master (Rome). And we wouldn’t be who we are today without giving proper thanks to our founder Hank Reinhardt, nationally acclaimed expert on edged weapons. He passed away recently and he will be dearly missed.
We understand the hunger for well researched and well made historically accurate and battle worthy weapons for the growing interest in medieval history and collectibles. We traveled far and wide armed with the wealth of information that was gathered from various museums and private collections around the world, to scout for sword smiths and manufacturers to give you quality weapons at affordable prices. Our continued association since our inception in 1985 with Windlass Steelcrafts has made us traverse the long road to where we can proudly proclaim our leadership in this arena.
Today, along with our sister company Museum Replicas, Ltd, we offer an extensive line of products which includes high quality period clothing, jewelry, sculptures and well researched battle worthy edged weapons that you would have been proud to carry in any battle if you could go back in time.
