Overview
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is the Roman Catholic Church for 19 counties in western and southwestern Ohio. The church is currently led by His Excellency Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop, and His Excellency Joseph R. Binzer, auxiliary bishop. The Province of Cincinnati also includes the Dioceses of Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Steubenville, and Toledo, each of which are led by their respective bishops.
Through hundreds of parishes, schools, hospitals, agencies and institutions, the Archdiocese proclaims and follows the teachings of Christ that lead to peace, joy and the fullness of life. This local church of almost half a million Catholics, founded as a diocese in 1821, is strong in faith and rich in tradition.
